I started writing as Geek Girl Traveler in July 2011, though the idea for being a geek travel writer happened long before then. I’ve always loved and prioritized travel. I’ve been a geek my whole life, starting with Star Trek when I was six, and sucking in sci-fi like air ever since. It just made sense to combine two of my great loves along with my third, writing.
My goal is to travel the world looking for the geekiest spots on the planet! If it’s comics, science, tech, sci-fi, fantasy, or horror-related; if a geek film was shot there, or a geeky book was set there, I want to get to know it! Everything here, from the links in the sidebar to the places I write about have all been personally experienced by me. Unless I specify otherwise, every location, hotel, event, or website I write about has been thoroughly Geek Girl Tested!
